THE VETO – KAWASAKI ER6N ’13

“Simple but sweet” is one way to sum up our portfolio of custom motorcycles. To think that recreating this look would be an easy task though would be a huge mistake. Balanced lines, simplified engineering and appealing neutral color schemes require a set of skills you don’t often find in the one place.  At our Jakarta based workshop we don’t seem to have any shortage of talent as each bike we complete looks just as good as the last and this 2013 Kawasaki ER6N is no exception.

The first step was removed the factory plastics, bodywork and not so cool, or classic windshield. To replace the original bodywork the Studio Motor team handcrafted a new tank, seat, front and rear fender out of 1.2 mm galvanized steel. Its unique shape was designed to hug the flowing lines of the stock frame perfectly. Finished in metallic, candy red with silver line at the side tank it’s more suited to the bike than the factory tank ever was and features a Studio Motor fuel cap. The only modification to the frame came in the form of a new tail loop. The loop includes a passenger grab rail which supports a Scrambler style tuck and roll seat, which was also designed and built in house at our workshop. For a more retro look the stock exhaust was replaced with a custom 2-into-1 stainless steel header and vintage style reverse megaphone muffler. The original rims were then treated to a set of TK Japan 18X3.00 and 18X3.50 inch and wrapped with dual purpose tire Metzeler Enduro 120/70-18 & 140/70-18 for front and rear. The stock bars replaced by Rizoma handlebar. 5 inch classic headlight and retro tail light combo were then all that was left to complete this bike.

We love this bike, and based on our customer’s request, overall, the style and paintwork was intended to remind you of the modern scrambler bike.
